Having a Birth Doula For Your Cesarean Section

I've heard time and time again from folks, "Do I really need a doula if I'm having a c-section?" or, "You can have a doula if you're having a c-section?"

These are all valid questions and statements! Doulas support all kinds of births, and no matter you birth plan, you deserve a doula. April is Cesarean Awareness Month and I'm called to share how a doula can support you if you have a planned or unplanned cesarean. While research shows that doulas help decrease the likelihood of having a cesarean, sometimes they are completely necessary, and you still deserve the support of a doula.
